Nine Centers
The Nine Centers are the building blocks of the Human Design System. They have parallels with the Eastern Chakra system and relate to nine different organs or glands responsible for various aspects of our functionality. They are the Crown, Mind, Throat, Self, Heart, Spleen, Emotions, Sacral and Root Centers
Throat and Sacral Centers
These two Centers give us the means for, and access to, our speech and expansion in life. The Throat is the Center of articulation and manifestation. The Sacral Center is where “Life Force” energy is generated within us and from where we cross-pollinate to other aspects of our nature.
The Three Awareness Centers
These Centers are very profound in how they align us in our lives with the situations that confront us. The Spleen operates through instantaneous senses, the Mind through thought processes, and the Emotions through the rise and fall of our feelings.

The Pressure Centers
The Pressure Centers are unique in that they do not have immediate access to the Throat and therefore direct expression. The Crown compels and inspires us to resolve our surroundings mentally (as if we could!). The Root Center drives us into action through our adrenaline energy that is often related to “fight or flight” situations
The Self and Heart Centers
These Centers give us identity and the will to live. The Self gives us a sense of purpose, direction, connectedness and love. The Heart gives us the drive to accomplish the moving of mountains, whether mountains need moving or not. The Heart is all about efficient use of willpower.
Channels by Circuit
The 3 major Circuits within the Human Design system are explored in turn by a journey through the Channels that connect them. The difference between Channels that are “Collective” by nature, are highlighted alongside those that are “Individual” or “Tribal.”

Profiles
The six different line characteristics give a basic outline of the 12 different Profiles. We each have one of the 12 Profiles for our lifetime and that outlines our interactions in the world and our very particular take on what we perceive as our reality.
